We celebrate all the typical American holidays, but go pretty hard on birthdays..
I identify with aspects of all of the above. My family is very proud of their background, so it's pretty much just a part of my daily life.
Things were tough for my dad and especially his younger brother when they came to the states...Also the natives in my family experienced some serious prejudice.
I identify with my ethnic roots, and embrace the different aspects of the various cultures in my family....I also vibe with the stoner/artsy culture.
Yes, I have friends that cross ethnic, race, religious, gender, and/or cultural barriers. I've always been a floater; and I've always been exposed to diversity. If people are pleasant to be around and can hang, then skin color or religion or gender don't ever come into play.
Stereotypes are often "situations of tension"...
I think I'm going to go geometric with this one...
